Symptoms

When entering a Sales Order with the Order Preparation Days standard preference activated, the Scheduled Pick Date always defaults to match the Requested Date and ignores the order preparation days when calculating the scheduled pick date.

Steps to Duplicate:

Please Note: All data presented below is from JD Edwards Demo Data. No actual customer or personal data is revealed. 

Go into menu G4231 Preference Master (P40070). Find Preference Type 16 (Order Preparation Days) and take the Row Exit to Preference Hierarchy. 

Mark Ship To Customer/All Items selection

Using Order Preparation Days Revisions (P40316) add preference for Ship To Customer 42441 with 2 Order Prep Days,

Setup a SO Entry (P4210) version with Preferences Activated.

Set Preference Processing Options (R40400) version ZJDE0001 to select Order Preparation Days preference.

Create the Sales Order Header First.

  1. Ship To Address is 42441
  2. Order Date is today’s Date (8/23/2024).
  3. Requested date is one week from today (8/30/2024)

Enter the Item and Quantity and edit the line.

  1. Requested Date was 8/30/2024
  2. Scheduled Pick Date was 8/30/2024
  3. Promised Ship Date was 8/30/2024
