E1: 30: Creating a BOM in P3002 Work With Bill of Materials For an Item With Obsolete Stocking Type and Text Line Type Ends in an Error - Item is Obsolete (Error ID 890L). (Doc ID 3046407.1)

Symptoms

When creating a BOM with a obsolete item (Stocking type=O) and sepcify Line Type = T (Text), then the Work with Bill of Material (P3002) issues "Item is Obsolete" (890L).
Ideally for text line the system does not validate if the item is obsolete or not.

STEP:

  1. In Item Master (P4101) and Item Branch (P41026), Stocking Type is O (Obsolete).
  2. Open P3002 and create a new BOM.
  3. In the grid enter the item with stocking type O. Populate the Line Type to 'T' (Text).
  4. Error occurs "Item is Obsolete" (890L)
