E1: 42: 47: Tax Rate and Tax Authority is Populated Incorrectly in Tax Header File (F470461) for Outbound EDI 810 Process Using Report R42565 When Tax is Defined by Group of Items (Doc ID 3049508.1)

Symptoms

If Tax Rate Area is defined as Tax by Group of Items and EDI 810 is used, then column Tax Authority and Tax Rate are not populated correctly in table F470461.

Scenario - Tax rate is defined such that each tax rate is under different column.

In the above the scenario, Tax authority and Tax rate is not populated correctly in table F470461.

 

STEPS:

  1. Setup the Tax rate area- F4008 (Tax by Group of Items) defined for Item tax group BLANK, 3 and 4.

    a) Keep same Tax authority in all.

    b) Use Field 1 to enter the Tax authority and Tax rate for Group - BLANK.

    c) Use Field 2 to enter the Tax authority and Tax rate for Group - 3.

    d) Use Field 2 to enter the Tax authority and Tax rate for Group - 4.

  2. Item branch Sales taxable field defined for below item number as:

    a) Item Number 86358 --> “Y”

    b) Item Number 85359 --> “3”

    c) Item Number ANKTEST --> “4”

  3. Sales Order created for the 2 items. Line 1 and 2 for item number 86359 and ANKTEST respectively.

  4. Ship confirm the sales order.

  5. Run R42565 report with Outbound EDI 810 enabled.

  6. For this test case, Sales Order was created for Group 3 and Group 4 tax rate.

    a)Tax Auth 1 is not populated which is correct. But Tax Auth 4 and Tax Auth 5 is populated which should be BLANK.

    b)For Line 1 of the Sales Order, Tax Auth 2 and Tax rate 2 is populated correctly.

    c)For Line 2 of the Sales Order, Tax rate is not populated. It should have been 21.00
