E1: SVM: Business Function Data Structure Dump and SQL Statement Missing in Call Object Log Captured Using SMC Simplified User Logging Feature (Doc ID 3051657.1)

Symptoms

User Call Object Logging is captured using Simplified User Logging feature mentioned in E1: SVM: Understanding the Simplified Management of User Logging Feature Available Starting With Server Manager Management Console Version 9.2.8.0 (Doc ID 3059659.1).

In the Call Object log a search on business function data structure dump and SQL statement return zero hits, making the log ineffective for troubleshooting.

Steps:

  1. Fastpath P01012. Populate 77 in qbe(Address Number).

  2. SMC Dashboard select  HTML server instance.
  3. Runtime Metrics select User Sessions.
  4. Identify Login User with Display Mode HTML. Click LINK in column(Remote Environments).
  5. Log File Configuration - click [Enable JDEDEBUG.LOG?] checkbox, click Save.
  6. P01012 click Find.
  7. Log File Configuration - click [Enable JDEDEBUG.LOG?] checkbox to undo Logging, click Save.
  8. Click [View] for JDEDEBUG.LOG. Log File Viewer - click hyperlink Download Entire Log File. Save As jdedebug_COBJ.log.
  9. Open Call Object jdedebug_COBJ.log search on 'dumping' and 'select ' returns many hits.

10. SMC Dashboard - Diagnostics - select User Logging.
11. User Name - type the Login User ID. Select Instance Type(Enterprise Server). Click [Enable User Logs].
12. P01012 click Find again.
13. SMC - User Logging - select [Collect User Logs]. Click link(Download Latest Zip--UserLogs).
14. In USER_Logs_yyyy_mm_dd_hh_mm_ss.zip, find and open the EntSErver User_jdedebug_PID#.log, search on 'dumping' and 'select ' returns Zero hits.
