Symptoms

The business requires the ability to filter or sort data by a specific G/L date in the Item Balance Running Summary (P41112) from the Cardex (P4111) to validate item balances at particular points in time.

Example: 
In some cases, purchase orders are created for items that should not have been ordered due to stock mismanagement or miscommunication. An employee might create a purchase order claiming there was no stock for an item on a certain date. However, management currently cannot easily verify if the item's balance was indeed zero on that specific date using the P41112 program, as it only summarizes monthly data. While the Cardex (P4111) offers detailed information, it is not practical for this use case, as it requires manually sifting through individual transaction lines.
