Symptoms

Unable to register a new AS400 Enterprise Server in Server Manager Console.

Steps followed:

1. Login to Server Manager Console
2. Create/Register Managed Instance
3. Register or Create Enterprise Server Instance
4. Install a New Enterprise Server

Error on the Screen:

Unable to install the instance "<Instance Name>"; an exception was thrown during the installation procedure. Exception invoking method install: Error occurred running the iSeries ES installation. PathCodes DV920 installation for
instance <Instance Name> has failed. Pathcode Rollback completed. java.lang.exception: Error occurred when reading or writing the files /DV920/spec/<Package>/spec.ini CCSID1088
