E1: 32: Configured Order With an Outside Operation Purchase Order is Not Calculating Unit Cost Correctly
(Doc ID 3054847.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 22, 2024
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
In a configured sales order with an outside operation that generates a purchase order, the expected unit cost calculation is not functioning as intended. The configurator calculates the correct unit cost based on the Configurator Quantity Multiplier, but when the work order is generated, the standard cost or the supplier item price is incorrectly applied to the purchase order. This results in an inflated cost on the purchase order.
Steps
1. P4101 Item Master: CFGP “Configured Parent”. STKT=C, LNTY=W, Inventory Cost Level = 3, Purchase Price Level = 1, Configurator Price Method = 4, Configurator Costing Method = 1. Item Branch, M30.
2. Item Master: CFGP*OP100 “Outside Operation CFGP”. STKT=X, LNTY=X, Inventory Cost Level = 2, Purchase Price Level = 1. Item Branch, M30.
3. P4105, set 07 cost for CFGP*OP100 to $36.00. Set both Sales/Inventory and Purchasing buckets to 07.
4. P3291, set to Single Pass. Add Segment 10 as Required with no UDC and numeric value.
5. P3003, add a routing operation to CFGP item in Branch M30. Work Center 200-701, Operation Sequence 100, “Outside Operation”, Back-date Effective From date, Supplier 4343, Cost Type D1, PO (Y/N) = Y, Yield = 100.00, Cum Yield % = 100.00, Time Basis = U.
6. P3293, Add an unconditional R-rule to CFGP in Branch M30: Then, CFGP, Operation Sequence 100, Back-date Effective From date, Derived Calculation = S10/ORDQTY.
7. Enter SO for a quantity of 1800 of CFGP; In Configured Order Entry, answer with a value of 1 in Segment 10. Add to Order.
8. Note the SO Detail Unit Cost = 0.02 and the extended Cost of $36.
9. Run R31410 against the WO. [Note the SO unit cost remains $0.02 and Extended Cost is $36].
10. Review the WO Routing to obtain the Purchase Order.
11. In PO Inquiry, review the Purchase Order for CFGP*OP100 and note the unit cost of $36(from F4105). The PO extended price is $64,800.
