E1: 49T: Add R49T10 Logic for Order Release Next Number Field OTORNXTN in F49T211 (Doc ID 3055338.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E1 Sales Order Entry and OTM process R49T10 Procurement Freight Request  - where the E1 sales order has multiple lines and there are different Requested Dates (DRQJ) across these lines, and the R49T10 application is executed over the order, field F49T211.OTORNXTN is assigned a numerically sequential value (1,2,3,4,5 etc). For example, for an order that has 10 lines and 5 of those have 10/24 as the Requested Date and 5 lines have 10/25, it is expected that the OTORNXTN would show either value 1 or 2 for each line, depending on the date.  If there were 3 different DRQJ values across the lines, then OTORNXTN would show either 1,2, or 3 etc.

The issue causes problems downstream in OTM processing and requires that a user perform extra work that should not be required. While retaining the existing functionality for users who rely on it working this way, it is requested that additional logic and a processing option be developed under a BUG level enhancement for R49T10 where the user has the option of ‘consolidating’ the OTORNXTN field values based only on the different DRQJ dates present on order lines.
