E1: 42: Web Client Exception Error in Sales Order Entry (P4210) If Activating Inventory Commitment Preference (Doc ID 3058575.1)

Symptoms

In Sales Order Entry (P4210) processing option, setting the processing option #2 (Inventory Commitment Preference) = 1 in the Preference Tab so that the system performs inventory commitment preference for current orders. When this setting is used, the P4210 issues WEB CLIENT EXCEPTION error when entering a grid and try to save the order.

STEP:

  1. In the Preference Master (P40070), define preference master.
  2. In the Inventory Commitment Profiles (P40306), setup Item group and define it to the item.
  3. In the processing option of the Sales Order Entry (P4210), set PO #2 (Inventory Commitment Preference) = 1 in the Preference tab, and #3. Display Header or Detail = 1 in the Process tab.
  4. Create a new sales order in P4210
  5. Enter a grid and go to the next line.
  6. The system throws the <Web Client Exception error. There was a problem with the server while running the business function F4211FSEditLine.>
