E1: 42: Canceling a Text (T) Line in Sales Order Entry (P4210) does not Clear Shipment Number (SHPN) from F4211 Table
(Doc ID 3059048.1)

Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
A Transportation (TMS) order that contains a text line, where no shipment number is added at the time of order entry (from the 49/SD configuration), then gets the shipment number added during the P49645 process, via BSFN N4900570. When the user intentionally stops the Ship Confirm step (P4915 calling P49645, calling P4205) and the Text line is canceled via P4210, the shipment number added to the Text line is not removed.
STEPS TO DUPLICATE:
- Create a sales order with 3 lines; one stock item line, a Text line (T) and a Freight line (F). During SO entry, the Text and Freight lines will not get a shipment number, as the values are not in the 49/SD UDC table. Shipment number will be added to the item line only.
- Configure the version of P49645 to add a shipment number to non stock lines (Option #15). Launch the “Work with Shipment” (P4915), locate the shipment number added to the stock line. Approve the shipment, then proceed to row exit “Confirm Shipment” (P49645) for shipment confirmation.
- In P49645 (Transportation shipment confirmation), click OK. Since the text and freight lines do not have a shipment number generated during SO entry, the shipment number is now updated to the Text and Freight lines using the business function N4900570 (UpdateF4211andF49211withShipment).
- The shipment confirmation screen (P4205) appears; click CANCEL on this form so that the confirmation is not completed.
- Return to the order in P4210 and manually cancel both the Text and Freight lines. 6. Check the F4211 for the order; the shipment number has been cleared for the Freight line, but not for the Text line. This shipment number causes status errors when Freight update (R4981) is executed over the Shipment Number.
