Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

E1 Release: 9.2
Tools Release: 9.2.5.6

During Groovy script development, it is customary to use "assert" statements in groovy script to inspect variable values while testing a Custom Request.

When testing the Custom Request, user see a spinning blue circle and the exception popup window does not appear.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Create a new Custom Request using groovy script.

  2. Copy the following groovy script into the Groovy script development window.

  3. Click the "Test" button.

  4. User expects a popup window to display the failed assert exception error. However, a spinning circle is seen instead.

This used to work in tools release 9.2.4.6.
