E1: ORCH: Disable The 'New' And 'Create Orchestration' Buttons Based On The User's Action Security Permissions For Creating An Orchestration (Doc ID 3060851.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 27, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Orchestrator Studio, there are two ways to create an Orchestration as described below:

Method 1:

------------

  1. Click on New Button to create a new Orchestration.

Method 2:

----------

  1. Open any Service Request.
  2. Go to manage section and select "Create Orchestration".

Access to the "NEW" button for an E1 USER/ROLE to create, publish, or modify ORCH objects can be restricted by modifying the Action Security for a user through P00950. However, this setting does not affect the access for "Create Orchestration" button, which remains available under the Manage section in Orchestrator Studio via any service request.

Refer to the below screenshot, where we can see the 'New' button is not available but the "Create Orchestration' button is still available.
