E1: XMLP: Barcode Will Not Scan And Displays With Boxes/Garbage Characters When Using Font 128R00.TTF (Doc ID 3061242.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 19, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading tools version to 9.2.8.4 or higher, the font 128R00.TTF (Code 128a, b or c) is now producing a PDF with boxes or garbage characters on either side of the barcode display. This can happen when opening the RTF in MS Word or when RTF is processed by the XMLP engine

Changes

After upgrading the EnterpriseOne tools version to 9.2.8.4 or higher, the XMLP embedded runtime engine was upgraded to the current Oracle Analytics Publisher (OAP) version. This caused some of the original BIP fonts to not render properly.

Cross-reference the tool's release with the embedded XMLP BIP/OAP reporting tool by referencing knowledge E1: XMLP: BI Publisher (BIP) Supported Desktop Versions, Microsoft Word Versions and Required Table OCMs (Doc ID 2198754.1).
