Symptoms
The OT - Transfer Order is not automatically received into Receipt Routing (via P4205 In-Transit Accounting setting) when the receipt route has a G/L Class Code added in the first step of the route.
Steps to replicate this issue:
First test/example to show how the process should work.
1. P43091 – Receipt Routing Definition. Define a 2-step route for the “To” Branch, the Branch that will be on the OT order. (Step 1 has only Update Transit = Y, Step 2 has Update O/H, Rec & Pay = Y.)
2. P43090 - Supplier/Item Information - Create a record for the item and Supplier Number/Address Book Number associated to the “To Branch”. Set the Normal Route field with the name of the Receipt Route you create in step 1.
3. P4210 - Create/set a version to create Transfer Orders.
4. Create a version of P4205 -Ship Confirmation with the following processing Options activated:
Tab# 5-Process....10. In-Transit Accounting = 1 (Yes)
Tab# 8. Versions...6. PO Receipt (P4312) - set equal to your version which is set to perform Receipt Routing.
.
5. Create ST/OT from Branch A to B to show how the OT will be automatically received into Receipt Routing with the correct set up.
6. Ship Confirm the order using your P4205 version in step 4 and automatically receive related OT into Receipt Routing.
7. P43250 – Movement & Disposition shows related OT created in above test has been automatically received as intended.
New test/example to show how it does not automatically receive if a GL Class Code is added to the first step of the Receipt Route.
8. Add a GLCC value to the first sequence of the receipt route used in the first / prior test.
9. Repeat the test steps 3 - 6, (order entry through Ship Confirmation).
10.P43250 – Movement & Disposition does not show the OT order this time, it is not automatically received into Receipt Routing.
11.P4312 Shows OT ready to receive confirming it was not automatically received.
This shows how the automatic receipt into receipt routing process does not work if a G/L Class Code value is set in the first step of the Receipt Route.
