Symptoms
Lot Status Update Warning 025Z is presented when processing a non-lot controlled item, Location Hold is active and a new location is created in the fly in Inventory Transfers (P4113). When an item does not have an associated lot number, the warning message 025Z generates when transacting a Transfer.
The error should not state 'Lot Status Update' and should say something similar to an issue with Location Hold instead.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In Branch/Plant Constants, ensure that Location Control (Y/N) is set to blank or N.
2. In UDC 41/LS, confirm that an I Location Hold Code resides for Investigate.
3. Locate a non-lot controlled item using P41026. In the Lot Processing tab check that the Lot Status Code = blank or zero in the P41026. Additionally, ensure that there is a primary location with available inventory in Item Availability (P41202).
4. Go to P4113 Inventory Transfer and click on Add (plus sign).
5. Use the same branch plant in the From and To branch plant fields in the header and transfer 1 item to a new location that does not exist in the P4100 - Warehouse Location.
6. Click the green check mark and warning 025Z - Lot Status Update Warning will generate.
