Symptoms
We are experiencing inconsistent behavior when generating a purchase order from a quote or requisition order using P43060 - Work With Order Release. Field CRMD - Send Method is blanked out in the purchase requisition or quote and when the purchase order is generated from the requisition (P43060), the Send Method (CRMD) field is repopulated.
When CRMD is removed/blanked out in the quote or requisition, the purchase order that is generated, needs the Send Method to remain as a blank so that the purchase order is not sent to the supplier right away.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add a quote order, Order Type OQ or a requisition, Order Type OR using P4310.
2. Remove/blank out the Send Method (CRMD) field in either the quote or the requisition by selecting Row>Header Revision>Form>Additional Info in the P4310.
3. Generate an order from either the quote or the requisition using P43060 - Work With Order Release.
4. Inquire on the new order created by the P43060 using P4310.
5. Select Row>Header Revision>Form>Additional Info, and notice that the Send Method (CRMD) field is populated in the new order from the Supplier Master CRMD field (P04012).
