E1: 07: Incorrect Taxable Wages When EE Works In More Than One State Within A PPED (Doc ID 3065438.1)

Symptoms

Testing ESU JN21078 – specifically Bugs 36110037 and 36124181 as it relates to Alabama overtime exemption, the taxable wages are incorrect when an employee works in more than one state within a single pay period.
When an employee works in a single state in a period, the taxable wages are correct.

Steps to duplicate:
Test 1
Living in AL, Working in Both AL and CA - ISSUE
1. Enter interim for EE living in AL (01), working in both AL (01) and CA (05)
2. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (01)
3. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (05)
4. Total Reg wages = $4000, Total OT wages = $2000; Total wages = $6000
5. Check mark “do not calculate DBAs” (to have a cleaner test)
6. Notice AL excludable and Taxable wages are INCORRECT
a. Previously, the gross and excludable were INCORRECT, but the Taxable wages netted to the CORRECT amount
b. NOW, the Gross Pay in correct, but the Taxable Wages and Excludable amount are incorrect
c. No idea where the system is getting 4400 in excludable wages (since no other DBAs are calculating)

Test 2
Living in AL; working in both AL and MS - ISSUE
1. Enter interim for EE living in AL (01), working in both AL (01) and MS (25)
2. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (01)
3. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (25)
4. Total Reg wages = $4000, Total OT wages = $2000; Total wages = $6000
5. Check mark “do not calculate DBAs” (to have a cleaner test)
6. Notice AL excludable and Taxable wages are INCORRECT

Test 3
Living in MS; working in both AL and MS - ISSUE
1. Use the same interim from the test above – and simply change the resident tax area on the interim to MS (25)
2. Or, can re-enter from beginning:
a. Enter interim for EE living in AL (05), working in both AL (01) and MS (25)
b. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (01)
c. Enter $2000 in Regular Wages; Enter 1000$ in OT wages – tax location on timecard record = (25)
d. Total Reg wages = $4000, Total OT wages = $2000; Total wages = $6000
e. Check mark “do not calculate DBAs” (to have a cleaner test)
3. Notice AL wages are now correct
4. Notice MS wages are now incorrect
a. where is it getting extra 400 in excludable? Should only be 2000$
b. Taxable wages should be $4000
