Symptoms

After updating the ojdbc8.jar file to a newer version, on Weblogic server, neither E1 HTML, Business Services Server nor Application Interface Services instances are working due Oracle JDBC driver initialization failures.

The e1root log file has the following error

Step to replicate:
The issue can be replicated by simple stopping and starting the Java based instances, after the ojdbc8.jar has been updated to a newer version.
