Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Notification translation for message only show when using Plain text.
There is a notification created with Message in rich text format, Plain Text button OFF.

When trying to add translations for this notification, the text entered  in the Message section is not available for translation in content translation.
If the message is set to Plain text, the text will show up in content translation.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. From orchestrator studio create a notification with Message section, and turn OFF Plain Text button.
2. From web client, access "Work with User Defined Objects" P98220U and find the new created notification
3. Go to Row Exit - Translations
4. In "Work with User Defined Object Translations" P9860WD add a translation record for the object
5. For the new translation added, take the row exit - Content Translation - the text entered in the Message section does not appear to be further translated
6. However, if the notification message is saved with Plain Text, the text will appear to be further translated in Content Translation.
