E1: CAF1: "Invalid Application State" Error Occurs When User Enters a Value in the Form Header Field Which is One of the Parameter Being Mapped (Doc ID 3068670.1)

Symptoms

User created a CafeOne layout with Parent Form (P4111|ZJDE0001|W4111A) and embedded Child Form (P41202|ZJDE0001|W41202A). When user enters an Item Number value in Parent form's form header control and click Find in P4111, he sometimes encounters the error message “Invalid Application State. The requested application is no longer valid.” in P41202.

 



Steps to duplicate:

  1. Create a CafeOne layout as follows:

      Parent form: P4111|ZJDE0001|W4111A
      Embedded Child form: P41202|ZJDE0001|W41202A

      Link Information:
      Application: P41202
      Form: Work With Item Availability(W41202A)
      Version: Item Availability(ZJDE0001)
      Name: P41202|W41202A|ZJDE0001
      Description: Work With Item Availability - Item Availability
      Automatically Find On Entry : Checked
      Maximize Main Grid: Unchecked
      EnterpriseOne Link Owner: <UserID>

      What type of link:
      Dynamic Link
     
      Parameters Mapping:
      Business Unit                                               is mapped to         MCU(Branch/Plant)                                              <-  grid column "Branch/Plant"
      Item Number - Unknown Format Entered    is mapped to         UITM(Item Number - Unknown Format Entered)  <- form header field "Item Number"

    2. Run P4111 application.

    3. Enter Item number in Item Number form header field on the parent form.

    4. Click Find.

    5. Change the Item Number value again on the form header field.

    6. Receive above "Invalid Application State" error.
