Symptoms

When attempting to upgrade the tools release on Deployment Server from Server Manager Management Console, the user is prompted to provide the username and the password to connect to System - 920 database data source.
After filling in the username and the password, the validation of credentials is failing with the below error:

Note the "Either username or password is invalid" message is displayed on the screen.

Also, in Server Manager Management Console e1rrot log file the following error is recorded:
