Symptoms

The R42950 Sales Order Batch Price/Cost Update report incorrectly zeroes out the sales order cost when updating sales order costs for kit items, specifically when the stocking type is set to "K" in the Item Master (F4101) and "P" in the Item Branch (F4102). Despite the kit item being a purchased item in the sales order branch, the report fails to pull the correct unit cost from the F4105 table, resulting in a zeroed-out cost.

Steps:

  1. Select a kit item and set the stocking type to "K" in the Item Master (P4101) and "P" in the item branch (P41026).
  2. Set the unit cost for the item and branch in the F4105 table (using P4105).
  3. Create a sales order for that item and branch (using P4210) and verify that the unit cost is correctly pulled from the F4105 table.
  4. Run the R42950 report to update the cost for the created sales order.
  5. Observe that the unit cost for the sales order is zeroed out, instead of being correctly updated from the F4105 table.
