E1: 40R: R40R010 Create Demand Schedule Uses Incorrect Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ) in Sales Order When Delivery Date Preference is Used (Doc ID 3071325.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 10, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Demand Scheduling Execution - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When creating demand and applying preference profile processing at both R47171 EDI Inbound Demand Edit/Update and R40R010 Create Demand Schedule the incorrect Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ) is used when the sales order is created.

Replication Steps:

1) P47171. Setup EDI data and populate Promised Delivery Date to be a future date. In this test case the Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ) is 2/24/2025.
2) P40309. Set up a Delivery Date preference profile to use 5 transit days.
3) R40400. Activate the Delivery Date preference.
4) R47171. Define the R40400 version in R47171 processing options. Run the R47171.
5) P40R10. Check the demand detail and Requested Ship Date = 2/19/2025 and Promised Delivery Date = 2/24/2025 which is correct.
6) P4210 version ZJDE0022. Set Preference Profile Processing = 1 and define the same R40400 version. This is because the same P4210 version used to create the order is the same version users use to update orders and change dates if needed. So if a user changes a date the Delivery Date preference needs to apply to the change.
7) R40R010. P40R20 is set to use P4210 version ZJDE0022. Run the R40R010 to create the sales order.
8) P4210. Check the sales order and note the Promised Delivery Date (RSDJ) changed to 2/19/2025 which is incorrect. The date from the demand detail should have been retained.
9) Repeat the above test but this time deactivate Preference Profile Processing in P4210 version ZJDE0022. Note that when the sales order is created the correct date of 2/24/2025 is used.
