E1: TR: SVM: After Tools Release Upgrade, E1 Application Component Version Still Shows Previous Version in Server Manager Console (Doc ID 3071546.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 17, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading the Tools Release (TR) on a EnterpriseOne setup installed using the OneClick installer, the E1 Application Component Version in server manager still displays the previous version instead of the expected updated version. However, the Software Component Version correctly reflects the upgraded Tools Release.

Example Scenario:
For instance, if the system was originally installed using a OneClick installer with an older TR version, such as 9.2.6.3, and then upgraded to 9.2.8.4, the E1 Application Component Version in server manager console will still show 9.2.6.3, while the Software Component Version correctly updates to 9.2.8.4 as shown below in the screen shot

Steps To Replicate:

1. Upgrade Tools Release from 9.2.6.3 to 9.2.8.4.
2. Access the Server Manager Console (SMC).
3. Navigate to EnterpriseOne Enterprise Server Instance.
4. Verify the Software Component Version and E1 Application Component Version.
5. Observe the mismatch, with E1 Application Component Version still at 9.2.6.3.
