ESU JN21223 Causes Special Handling Box Amts to Subtract from Employment Income Causing T4 Box 14 to Print Incorrectly

Steps To Duplicate

  1. Ensure you have one Canadian employee with employment payroll history and "other income", such as retirement income that will create either box 66 or 67 for special handling on the year-end work file build.
    1. Note - If you have any special handling boxes included that are built from your history this issue occurs.
  2. Install ESU JN21223 with a full-force merge on all objects, ensure your BIP templates are set correctly, and run the year-end repost reports (see Doc ID 2918540.2)
    1. 2a.Tax Area Transaction History Repost From F0618 (R77148A)
    2. 2b. Tax Area Transaction History Repost From F0719 (R77148B)
    3. 2c.Enter the versions of R77148A and R77148B in the application P77148A and Year to repost as 2024. (Need to make sure that the version names for both the reports - R77148A and R77148B are the same).
  3. Clear your year-end ID and do not save adjustments.
  4. Add a new year-end ID, and new version, add to the data selection the 1 employee above, and submit the version specs to the server
  5. Submit the year-end ID to build the year-end work file.
  6. View T4 details and preview PRINT and notice both boxes print now, but the totals of these 2 boxes are subtracted on Box 14 incorrectly.
