E1: 43: Request to Add Effective From Through Dates and History/Ledger Information Related to Purchase Order Approval Delegation Processes/Applications (Doc ID 3072991.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Procurement and Subcontract Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When you delegate Purchase Order Approval authority there is no way to see who is approving something on the behalf of that original approver. There is no history or ledger table/application that shows delegation related details and there are no effective dates or From - Through date ranges indicating how long the approval delegation is in effect.

With the current Delegation process, all related records showing the 'original' approver's AB# are updated to now have the AB# of the approver to whom these approval records have been delegated so there is no record that contains the original approver's AB# for history/audit purposes.

Currently there are no Effective Dates or Effective Date From / Through range associated to Purchase Order Approvals. Also, there is no history table or any type of ledger data that shows who the original approver was, who these approval records were delegated to, how long this delegation is in effect, etc.

This ER is asking for the following additions related to Purchase Order Approval Delegation:
1. Add the ability to add and use Effective From / Through Dates for the Delegation.
2. Add a History table that will hold the data related to delegation to include Original Approver, Delegated Approver, All routes/records related to the delegation, Effective Dates of this delegation.
3. Add the ability to view this history data to an existing Form (? P43081- Orders Awaiting Approval ?) or create a new Form where this data can be reviewed.
4. Add "Approval on Behalf Of XXXXXXXXX' text to any emails, approval applications, etc. to indicate who the 'original approver' was for the record if there is an existing delegation in effect.
