Symptoms

Upon taking the visual assist on Location (LOCN) column in application P4113 (Inventory Transfer) or P4114 (Inventory Adjustment), P41LOCN (Item Branch Locations) takes too much time to load the available location of the item and branch, when Omit Zero Quantities flag is turned on.

Note: This performance issue is noticeable when there are thousands of Item lot-locations present, where only few lot-location available quantity is not equal zero.

Steps:

  1. Create an item and item branch record.
  2. Create couple of thousands of lot-location for the item-branch combination.
  3. Using Inventory Adjustment (P4114), update the quantity of 4-5 lot locations and keep rest of the lot-location quantity as Zero.
  4. Navigate to Inventory Transfer (P4113) application and click on ADD button.
  5. Enter the values in Explanation, From B/P, To B/P, Item Number.
  6. Click on Visual assist button on From Location column.
  7. This will open P41LOCN form.
  8. Click on "Advanced Search" tab and enable "Omit Zero Quantities" flag.
  9. P41lOCN will try to load the records and it takes too much time to load the records on the grid.
