E1: E1PAGE: Paste Function In EnterpriseOne Search Window Includes Coding: "&#38" Instead of "&" (Doc ID 3075094.1)

Last updated on MARCH 05, 2025

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When copying text from a field which includes an ampersand (&) or at sign (@), and pasting it into EnterpriseOne Search window and then pressing Enter, the results display the HTML/XML escape characters (& # 3 8) instead of just the symbol (&).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Access P44H401 / W44H401D
2. Find records where a field value includes an ampersand (such as Option Description 4 (DL04) including Oven & Commercial Style Hood)
3. Use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, and paste in EnterpriseOne Search window. Press Enter.
4. Confirm value pasted now includes coding (e.g., & followed by #38) instead of just the &, which does not find desired results.

Note: The issue also occurs when pasting the same text from Microsoft Word.

Changes

Duplicated in Tools Release 9.2.8.4 and 9.2.9.1.
