(Doc ID 3075870.1)

Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When using the Cross Reference functionality in Sales Order Entry (P42101 to P42260), if the cross referenced item set up in P4104 uses a different unit of measure, the system will populate the detail line with the primary item's unit of measure.
Steps:
1. Create two items (P4101/P41026): one with primary unit of measure FT, another with primary unit of measure EA.
2. In Item Cross Reference (P4104), create an A Cross Reference Type where the EA unit of measure item is cross referenced to the FT unit of measure item.
3. Create a Sales Order (P42101) for the primary (UOM FT) item. Notice that the system correctly uses FT as the unit of measure.
4. After saving the record, re-inquire on Sales Order Detail and select the line.
5. Click on the Cross Reference button; notice that the system correctly calls the Substitute/Cross Reference screen and displays the EA unit of measure item.
6. After entering the Quantity Ordered, click OK to add the item and return to Sales Order Entry. Notice that the system updates the detail line with the primary item's unit of measure (FT) rather than EA.
