Purpose
This paper discusses the interface of Sales Order and Work Orders that includes Release Holds (P43070), Enter Change Order (P48013), Work Order Completions (P31114), Sales Order Entry (P4210), MRP, Attachments, Kits, Process items and P31114 Enhancements.
Overview
Sales orders and work orders depend on one another via the use of work order statuses. XE and ERP8 do not include the same sales order functionality when using Work Order Completions (P31114). The following is included in releases 8.9 onward:
1. Allows for the update of the sales order status independent of sales order split and commitments.
2. Allows for reversal of split sales orders.
3. Hard commitments at the time of sales order entry are not updated from work order completion.
