R17731 - Service Order Issues / Time Entry
R31422 - W.O. Hours and Quantity Update
R13800 - Update W.O. Actual Amounts
P311221 - Time Entry program
Purpose
Service and Warranty Management (SWM) and Capital Asset Management (CAM) Routing Service Costs from time entry records are used to create journal entries, using the Hours and Quantities Update (R31422) batch program. This program updates the actuals in the Work Order Routing table (F3112) and creates F0911 journal entries. This program does not print a report.
The total cost of each routing will be split into separate journal entries based on the percentage of the routing covered under a contract. Changes cannot be made after running this program.
Scope
The SWM Service Work Order (SV) actual hours reported in P311221 time entry are updated to the SV Routing using the W.O. Hours and Quantity Update (R31422) batch program. From menu G1712, access the WO Time Entry Program, recording the time (actual labor hours) in the F31122 WO Time Entry file. Before proceeding, users must have work order F3112 labor lines, and Time Entry records against these labor lines.
The W.O. Hours and Quantity Update (R31422) batch program is run, after using the Time Entry program (P311221) or running the Service Order Issues/Time Entry program (R17731), and prior to running the Update WO Actuals program (R13800), updating the F3112 actual hours and labor amounts and generating the journal entries. In the processing options of the Hours and Quantities Update program, activate the CSMS/SWM processing option 1 = Create S/WM journal entries, for the system to create the journal entries.
The data selection in the named version of W.O. Hours and Quantity Update (R31422) batch program called from Service Order Issues/Time Entry (R17731) program should be blank as the program inherits the data selection, such as Document Order Number (DOCO), from the R17731 and adds Transaction Status (TYST).
If data selection was used in R31422, then remove all data selection from the version of W.O. Hours and Quantity Update (R31422) run on the server and re-submit the version specs to server so that no data selection exists on the version of R31422 being called from R17731. Service and warranty labor transactions ONLY use the direct labor rate and will not utilize any overhead rates in the charge or cost.
