Purpose

The Fixed Asset Split program (G1222/P12106) can be used to split an asset into one or more new assets.  Fixed assets can be split by units, monetary amount, or a percentage. When an asset is split by a percentage, the percentage is based on the asset cost account as of the date of the split.

Scope

This document will help users of the Fixed Asset module process Asset Splits.
