Purpose

Overview

The Fixed Asset system comes with some standard canned reports.  These reports are used to demonstrate the reporting capabilities of EnterpriseOne Software and to give users a starting point when reviewing information.  These reports are sent out with EnterpriseOne demo data and will need to be changed.  To make changes to these values the changes must be made on a FAT Client and not the Web.  If the reports aren’t changed they will display blank amounts in columns that need custom data selection.  The following gives information on how to change the demo data, and what SMART fields are used to collect the data.  These SMART fields can be used by customers when writing custom report.  Also, make sure and confirm that the correct month and year is being used when running these reports.  If an incorrect month or year is used it will not print the correct information.

Remember, if designated all of the JDE Reports can use the Common Separated Values (CSV) Feature that is standard in the software, and then saved/converted into Excel.  Once in Excel, columns can be removed, manipulated, and rows can also be sorted and removed.  This feature makes it very easy to semi-customized a report.

Also, Business Views that link the F1201 and F1202 can be used to view data and can be downloaded to Excel.  To display the views that are available,  go to a FAT Client, then OMW, click Search, click Advanced Search, then enter BSVW in the Object Type Field, then System Code enter 12.  This will display the Business Views that are available.  Enter the Business View into the Data Browser to see if the view is what is needed.  Once the Business View has been determine it can be downloaded to Excel for viewing and reporting.
