E1: 12: How to Create Asset Master Records Using Interoperability (R47002C/P1201Z1/R1201Z1I/P12130) (Doc ID 626068.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fixed Assets - Version XE and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document provides instructions on how to create Fixed Asset Master records, using JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Interoperability programs.  Fixed asset master records can be loaded from a flat file using the Inbound Asset Master File Conversion (R47002C) and the Inbound Asset Master Processor (R1201Z1I) OR asset master information can be imported directly into the Inbound Asset Master/Equipment Tag Inquiry (P1201Z1). This document will review both methods.

Note:  The Fixed Asset Interoperability process creates Asset Master records (F1201).  Asset Account Balance records (F1202) can also be created based on the processing options in the Asset Master Information (P1201).   This process does not allow for the upload of asset cost or accumulated depreciation balances.

Scope

Most users of Fixed Assets will find this functionality useful.
