Purpose

RDA provides base bar code functionality for reports and other batch job output. RDA supports Code 39 fonts (True Type font name : BC C39 3 to 1 Medium)  for both PCL and PostScript conversion.  Bar code fonts can be viewed in RDA, previewed, and then printed.

This document contains suggestions for developing reports that use Bar Codes within the Report Design Aid. 

Scope

This Document is intended for developers using the Report Design Aid tool who will be implementing or troubleshooting the Bar Code formatting in EnterpriseOne Reports.

 Issue 1:  When creating a bar code based on a lot number, if the lot number has an embedded blank/space, why can the scanner not read the bar code?
 Issue 2:  After a tools update 9.1.0 and higher the barcode "BC C39 3 to 1 Medium" output (*.pdf) reflects a non-working bold font style.
