How to Troubleshoot when Service(s) (JDENET) on AS400 Do Not Start
JDENET is not running on an AS/400 Enterprise Server. After attempting STRNET with the ONEWORLD account, the jobs NETWORK and SENTINEL end abnormally. EnterpriseOne users are unable to login because the Security Server does not start.
The Enterprise Server JDE.LOG shows the following:
Where X is the kernel definition number. For example:
JDENET Reserved Kernel
JDE services fail to start any NETWORK or kernel jobs on the AS400 Enterprise Server after a restart of service. The subsystem JDEE910 is started but no jobs exists under the subsystem.
No logs are being generated in the logs folder '/JDE910', no as400 spool file generated for NETWORK job and no as400 error message generated after issuing STRNET command.
Services fails to start as JDENET services are waiting on Job Queue which was on hold
