Purpose

This document covers major topics and examples of functionality for manufacturing work order parts lists.

Overview

A parts list (P3111) is a list of items attached to a work order, or rate schedule, that enables a manufactured item to be built, reworked, or customized.  The most common method used is copying the bill of material or BOM (P3002), for the item, but parts list may be copied from other work orders, or entered line by line manually.

To set up the Parts List processing options, refer to the online Shop Floor Implementation Guide, chapter 5.10.6 Setting Processing Options for WO Parts List (P3111)
