Customer has a custom report that moves records from a "current" table to a "history" table and then deletes the records from the "current" table at end of run using Table I/O. If a fatal error is encountered during this process they print an error report and issue a rollback command. If there is no error the record is committed and no error report is produced. During testing they forced errors to make sure the rollback pulled the records out of the history file. Each test produced the error report as expected, but the rollback command did not work; all records inserted remained in the history file. They have a unique number for the transaction ID, then do a BEGIN transaction and also pass the transaction ID to the ROLLBACK and COMMIT statements. It appears the Rollback is not working. Why would this rollback not work?
