Goal
We need to set focus on a form developed for a PDA - Pocket PC.
An example is a simple (fix/inspect) form where the user needs to scan a location. Ideally the user would only need to do one step which is scan the location and the next screen would pop-up.
Currently, the user has to do 3 steps to achieve the same result :
- Select (set focus) on the location field
- Scan (input) the location
- Press button to process
On the PDA it does not automatically set focus on the first tab sequence. You need to select the field (touch the control on the screen) before you can scan/enter the appropriate field. What must be done to make sure the first tab sequence is automatically active and ready for input as it is on a normal Web client?
