Purpose

The Manufacturing Cost Simulation program is R30812. It is referred to by several different titles: Simulate Standard Rollup, Cost Simulation, Cost Roll and Simulate Rollup. The processing options are release specific, and can vary from release to release.

Tip 1. X Cost Doubles and Increments with Each R30812 Run

Tip 2. Is it possible to simulate costs reading from a particular lot/location cost?

Tip 3. Is it possible to use Simulated Cost Rollup (R30812) to roll up Alternate BOM's or Routings?

Tip 4. After running R30812 over a finished good, it is missing the part of the material cost.

Tip 5. Are Substitute items on a Bill of Material (P3002) costed by R30812?

Tip 6. Can R30812 roll up a zero A1 Cost Record for the Parent Item when the components has Zero Cost? This is required since PO receipt process does not allow receipt of an item with no standard cost with setup in the plant that has a Sales/Inventory cost method = 07.

Tip 7. What does R30801 Costing Exceptions Report error 'No Acct. Lot Size for Setup' mean?

Tip 8. When doing single level cost roll ups with the R30812 the lower level sub item or component item cost is not rolled to the parent item. Why?

Tip 9. Is it possible to roll X cost on a component to the A1 cost line of the same component?
