Last updated on APRIL 03, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version SP24 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

INTRODUCTION:

The primary function of Multitier deployment is to reduce network traffic (and the resultant delays that come with heavy traffic) by enabling enterprises with more than one geographic location to deploy from a secondary deployment server at the remote site. Instead of installing packages across the WAN from the deployment server to workstations at a remote location, you can copy the package components from the deployment server at the primary location to the deployment server at the remote location. This server at the remote location can then deploy the package to the workstations and servers at that location.

This document is to be used in conjunction with Package Management Guides available - Chapter 9 - Setting Up Multitier Deployment. See references below for where you can download these guides according to the EnterpriseOne Application and Tools Release level .
