E1: WRKFLW: Workflow Process Fails to Validate and Ends in Error When Run (Doc ID 648516.1)

Symptoms

In Object Management Workbench (OMW) or Process Master, a user tries to click on the "Validate Workflow" button to validate a Workflow Process but receives many Validation Failure errors such as the following on all workflow processes.

           Task <.......> does not have Event Rules
           Task<.......> must have predecessors

If you run the workflow, it ends in error.

In some scenario, the JDE log shows

"Control Tables - CRP is not flagged to contain XML metadata and is not present in the F00948 table.  If it does not contain XML formatted metadata, then please add it to the F00948 table using the P00948 application."
