E1: PRINT: Hardcoded printer in UBE version specs is ignored (Doc ID 649701.1)

Symptoms

I have hardcoded a printer in a custom UBE version, that is called synchronously through Report Interconnect in the Subsystem version of standard UBE R42520. In Work with Submitted Jobs, when clicking on the Row exit - Print for the custom UBE version job entry, it shows the wrong printer; it is the default printer set up for UBE R42520 instead of the hardcoded printer that was specified in the custom UBE version. If I call the same custom UBE version synchronously through Report Interconnect in a non-Subsystem version of  R42520 and submit  R42520 to the same server where the R42520 Subsystem version is running, the correct hardcoded printer displays for the custom UBE version in Work with Submitted Jobs. Why?
