During the initial setup of Embedded BI Publisher for EnterpriseOne it is recommended that you setup a temporary folder to which the BI Publisher engine will write temporary files during processing.

In the first phase of BI Publisher integration with EnterpriseOne (phase 1) if the temporary folder is not properly set in the xdo.cfg configuration file, users will likely encounter the error "XML Publisher Error Message" when trying to run a report.

In the second phase integration these errors are less likely to occur, however performance will be slightly improved for large reports if the temporary folder is setup in xdo.cfg. There is a known issue caused by a missing temporary folder setup in xdo.cfg. See Document 1145076.1 for more details.
