Symptoms

In this scenario here they are upgrading from JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Xe to 8.12 application release level, but note that this solution is also valid for customers upgrading to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.x (9.0 and 9.1) application release levels. In this example, customer is getting errors on some table conversions.  In the TC.log is found:

TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Call JDB_OpenTable for table F0618.
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Table F0618 is in data source Business Data - PROD.
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcinit.c : Assigning table F0618 the temporary name F0618TCTEMP
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Call JDB_OpenView for business view V890618.
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Business view V890618 contains 125 column(s).
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Temporary table F0618TCTEMP contains 129 column(s).
TCEngine Level 1 \b9\common\TCEngine\tcapi.c : Call JDB_InsertFromSelect for business view V890618, temporary table F0618TCTEMP.

From jde.log:

ODB0000164 - DBC:00 [28000][8002] [IBM][iSeries Access ODBC Driver]Communication link failure. comm rc=8002 - CWBSY0002 - Password for user JDE on server SERVER1 is not correct, Password length = 5, Prompt Mode = Never, System IP Address = 10.3.0.9

ODB0000010 - SQLDriverConnect failed. ODBC DSN: Business Data - PROD.
