E1: 90CB: Email link to Activity Does not work

After adding a new activity and assigning it to a user. When the user gets the e-mail showing the information on the activity, there is a link within the e-mail. Clicking on the "Edit Activity" hyperlink in an e-mail takes the user to the Activity screen, but errors and does not allow the user to update the Opportunity /Activity record. See attached screen shots for error messages and e-mail info. The Activity was created from within the Opportunity screen and the e-mail does get sent to the users Exchange 2005 mailbox correctly.
Other shortcut links generated from other applications work correctly. Only a problem from within this application.
