Goal

I have a field in my BI Publisher template that gives '20000' as an output and I want to format the output to look like this '$20,000.00' . How can I do this through my BI Publisher Template?

NOTE: The decimal symbol defined in User Profile (P0092) is not taken in consideration while generating the XML output in BI Publisher. Similarly, it is not possible to include the thousand separator in xml source. <Bug 11008640> - DECIMAL FORMAT IGNORED IN XMLP - was entered to ask for the decimal in user profile to be taken into account. Development however closed the bug with status "not feasible to fix". Instead clients should apply one of the solution available from BI Publisher design, which are described further in this document.
