Last updated on OCTOBER 02, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 8.98 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Table Trigger building (TER) and Named Event Rule (NER) business function compilation during package build produces corrupted .hxx , .c and .h and .c files respectively.
Problem happens if Double-Byte characters, for example Korean words are entered in Object description in F9860(SIMD).   The corrupted source files could contain unrecognized character for the double-byte characters of the object description, or source files could be incomplete after Object description field appear in the source files.

Usually Client Package builds successfully, but Server Package fails with the following error shown in the compile log of the NER business function object or the Table object:

fatal error C1071: unexpected end of file found in comment.
