Goal
How to set up GTL (Group Term Life) / Excess Life.
This document provides a guideline for setting up the GTL benefit. This setup may vary by employer.
This document assumes that all employees receive a basic life benefit on which the GTL is based. This document will also include a supplemental life deduction which reduces the employee's taxable amount of GTL. Rates are examples only.
