E1: RDA: Data Selection Based on Zero Decimal Currency Amount Fields Not Returning the Expected Data (Doc ID 656484.1)

Symptoms

A custom report is designed based on the F04572 - A/P Payment Processing Summary Table. A processing option using the data item PAAP - Payment Amount is used to allow users to enter an Amount Range and then the "Set User Selection" system function selects based on this Amount Range. However, when entering an amount range for a zero decimal currency,  the report is not selecting data as desired.

The base currency is Japanese Yen, which has zero decimals. Examining the SQL statement in the logs shows the amount entered has been multiplied by 100.  For example, if a given amount range in the processing option is set as 0 to 10,000, the report  is actually selecting data between 0 to 1,000,000.

Note that the same behavior is observed when using direct data selection on such currency fields. Also, same can be observed in databrowser and UTB. F04572 and PAAP are mentioned just as an example and the same can be observed in other tables containing other currency fields as well.
